Prepared for action in the 2017 Ruby Redfort rehearsal room
I'm interested in stories that make the audience feel bold, smart, and ready for whatever's next. I've written original work and adaptations for the stage and I'm now writing my first TV commission.
I'm currently developing several projects including:
- A Children's TV show with CBBC and Lime Pictures (Emmy Award winners for Free Rein), co-written with BAFTA-nominated writer Julia Kent
- A historical adventure play about 17th-century French rogue Julie D'Aubigny, developed with the support of Emma Rice's Wise Children and the North Wall Theatre in Oxford
- A YA novel about teen rock bands and 90's adventure movies
PERFORMANCE
Girl Scouts vs Aliens (2019 Edinburgh Fringe)
Girl Scouts vs Aliens is a low-fi sci-fi comedy adventure for the whole galaxy to enjoy! Four best friends are on their last ever camp when an alien spaceship lands in the next field. With only camping kit, scouting skills and toasted marshmallows, can the girls save the world and keep the gang together?
The show enjoyed a sell-out run at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe, with four- to five-star reviews, spots on multiple 'best of the Fringe' lists and an award nomination from BroadwayWorld. A national and international tour will commence in the future.

Lauren Child's Ruby Redfort (2017 Edinburgh Fringe, 2018-19 Tour)
Lauren Child's spy series Ruby Redfort is a thrilling mystery set in '70s California starring codebreaking pre-teen Ruby Redfort and a horde of fantastic gadgets, high-stakes peril and vicious villains. My adaptation debuted at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe in a sell-out run before touring for two years to book festivals and theatres.

Masha and the Firebird by Margaret Bateson-Hill (2017 Theatre Deli, future development at Theatr Clwyd)
Deep in the forests, Masha meets the magical Firebird, guardian of the eggs of the four elements: earth, water, air, and fire.
The Firebird asks Masha to use her astonishing painting skills to hide the eggs from the vicious witch, Baba Yaga, taking Masha on a breathtaking battle to defend the elements themselves.
I was commissioned to adapt Margaret Bateson-Hill's picture book for Sleepless Theatre Company, in a production designed to be wholly accessible for all audiences. The show was selected for an R&D at Theatre Deli in London and then invited to Theatr Clwyd for further development before the pandemic.
